- The Movieland Was Museum in Buena Park, CA has had a
Lanza exhibit for years. The scene is the La Donna aria in the Great Caruso.
I recently requested and received a close-up of the figure which looks
far more like a thin Pavoratti - or a zombie in George Romero's 'Dawn of
the Dead' - than Mario. By *any* artistic measure this is a disgrace.
And one does wonder, even momentarily, if the sculptor was actually a Pavoratti
fan... Fortunately, the exhibit is ending soon. - Jeff
